Descamps

Born in 1858 as small weaving company belonging to Auguste Descamps, the Descamps brand occupies the leading position in the home linens market today. It remains since the past 150 years true to its history, rich in colour and full of sensations.

Ever since the 1950’s, there has been some room for colours in a world of white linens; timidly applied on the borders of sheets and on hems bringing a note of fantasy and refreshment. Evolution was apparent in the 1960’s with the arrival of Primrose Bordier, who for a long while put her signature on the Descamps products. The plain dyes in pastels shades, the printed florals and the colourful designs brought an air of fun and festivities to the collection, creating trends and also tied in with couture fashion. Ever since it’s requisite by an Italian company, Descamps remains attached to its image of high quality French products. To guarantee this high level of quality, Descamps controls its own production notably by its two European based factories: Towelling at Regny (France) and bedlinen in Mascioni (Italy).

The Image is carefully maintained by our own design house based in Paris. The franchising network, launched in 1972 has developed the French brand to an international brand, particularly in the UK, Spain and the Middle-East.

All the bedlinen in Percale, Silk or Satin Cotton, the towelling, the throws, cushions, the bedspreads and accessories, also our Petit Descamps collection (Baby range) are all realized for our two annual collections.

L’air du temps and well being, Descamps has created this concept, escaping from the domain of bed linen with a range of decorative accessories, cushions, throws and a beach collection.
